Back and forth, back and forth you go like a yo yo.  Should I do this?  Should I do that?  Maybe neither of those, but something else?  Is this you?  Stuck in limbo-land unable to make a decision?   If so, here’s some simple advice: choose something and like Nike says “just do it.”

All of us at one time or another have languished in limbo-land.  And ain’t it awful??  That place where we’re in our heads, giving ourselves a colossal headache, getting more and more stuck and frustrated.  To loosen the glue, you have to DO SOMETHING!  Anything.  Just choose something from your list and take some action.  It doesn’t have to be a huge step, just a small one so that you can feel how it feels.  You can’t feel when you’re in your head endlessly thinking about what you should do.

Maybe it turns out to be the wrong thing–not what you want.  That’s okay.  Now you know and you can scratch it off your list and move on to the next.  Wrong again?  Scratch again.  Now your list is getting shorter.  You’re finding out what you don’t want which brings you that much closer to finding what you do want.  You’ve created movement where once you stood in concrete.  Movement is always better than stagnation.

Finding your best life takes this kind of experimenting.  You won’t hit the jackpot every time, so allow for mistakes, which really aren’t mistakes at all.  Your so-called mistakes are clarifying things for you, helping you out of the muddle into clear waters.  And that’s a great place to be.
